Awhile back I decided I wanted to knit a monkey. I couldn't find a pattern I liked. Most of them looked either creepy or scary. There's a blog that I find cute and check out every now and then - Two Knit Monkeys. I thought her monkeys were cute. And after much googling I actually found a free pattern for a very similar monkey. I think it might be the pattern she used only with some modifications.
It only took me a couple of days to knit it up, but then it took me several weeks before I got the eyes sown on. I followed the pattern for this one, but I think I'll be making another one with several modifications.
